Our Warranty

I recall one recent house exterior. . . It was "professionally" completely painted just three years before. A lot of the paint on the side most exposed to the sun was literally worn off the house with bare wood showing.

The paint looked worse than some houses I've seen that haven't been painted for twenty years or more. This was the result of poor prep, low quality materials.

The painter never removed the shutters so that the clapboard siding could be completely painted underneath. The faux shutters were painted while they were still attached to the house. In addition the removable copper gutters were not removed so that the facia could be completely painted.

I employ proper prep procedures and use high quality paint products to help ensure a long lasting, durable paint job. I have always placed an emphasis on quality and service.

Because of this Maine Painting warranties all coating applications for five (5) years against failure such as blistering, peeling, flaking and cracking due to the use of poor materials, poor preparation, or poor application procedures.

This warranty applies as long as we are allowed to use our usual preference of high-quality Sherwin-Williams coatings. This warranty does not cover coating failure due to water intrusion or other damage due to acts of God or human negligence. Actual coating warranties regarding durability and failures are as provided by the coating manufacturer and will vary from manufacturer to manufacturer and product to product.

I see painting not as an expense, but as a long-term investment in the future of your home. It is our desire to do both interior and exterior repeat business with you in the years to come.
